2012 Spring Investor Education Workshop

The spring Investor Education Workshop presented by the KC Chapter of BetterInvesting will be held at the KU Edwards Campus in Overland Park on April 21 from 8:30 a.m. To 3:00 p.m. Allen Holdsworth, Director of the BetterInvesting Advisory Board, will present the Workshop. He was a founding Director of the Illowa Buy States Chapter and founding member of the MAD Investment Club. He has taught classes at the national level, classes at his local community college and online. He was employed as a broker for seven years before retiring four years ago.
 
Holdsworth will address these topics during the Workshop:
Economic Moats
Investing for Income
Four Keys to a Great Portfolio
In the afternoon session, he will apply the Four Keys to evaluate a portfolio provided by ta Kansas City area investment club.
 
Lunch is included in the registration fee. During the lunch break, workshop participants will have an opportunity to present stocks of interest for a rapid fire look at an SSG and receive commentary from workshop leaders.

If your club is interested in having the club's portfolio reviewed by an expert in the field, the club's portfolio would need to be submitted to Holdsworth by March 21 to allow him time to prepare his presentation. Club members and other participants in the Workshop will receive helpful information on portfolio management that can be utilized in their own club to increase investment wealth. Interested clubs should notify Sheila Wyss as soon as possible to be considered for this.
