Vivace

Vivace is one of those places that is so cool, it's hot. Placed conveniently on a bustling corner in the River Market, the long narrow, restaurant pulls you in with richly colored murals hand-painted by local artist Francesca Caracci. On the opposite walls, natural light and the urban view pour in through rows of tall sheerly-dressed windows. An antique tin ceiling and exposed brick walls are set off by contemporary lighting and soft upholstery. And then there is the ice bar, yes, ice bar. Right down the middle of the long wooden bar runs a shimmery slab of frosty ice, the perfect place to keep your chilled martini chilled. One of only five in the country, Vivace's bar is a show in itself, as the under lit stretch of ice glows and changes from shades of red to green, yellow and blue.
