MFA Oil's Rootin'-Tootin' Chili Cookoff

Never been to the RTCC?  This is the funnest fundraiser around!  Enjoy great live music as you sample all the chili you can eat from more than 50 teams. Teams create elaborate booths and costumes to create a fun and festive atmosphere while competing for several awards including the Grand Chili Champion. 
2011 was our 6th year and there were 1500 people attending.  With everyone's help the event raised $65,000 for Columbia's at risk youth! 
 
Who Can Enter:   The chili competition is open to anyone wanting to test his or her secret recipe, and the public is invited to partake in all of it.  Live bands will provide music as the public samples all the chili they want from all the teams.
 
Awards:  Teams compete for the Grand Chili Champion, People’s Choice, the Biggest Bowl, and the Best Booth awards.   As an extra fun element, teams decorate their booths with various themes and costumes. 
 
Time:   Doors are open to the public from 4p.m. to 7p.m.
 
Benefits:   All proceeds from this event go to the Boys & Girls Club of Columbia which serves nearly 200 at risk kids every day after school.
